Thursday til 5 p.m...same as above. :0)
Friday to school = black band t, jeans, and athletic shoes. No pep rally.
Friday to Game = GREY SWEATS over white Tig T with hair down/front pulled up...white, gray, or black athletic shoes! Loaded guard bag. Report time 5 p.m.

6 a.m. Report to OGHS wearing correct undergarments and bodystocking under comfortable modest travel wear. Have everything with you when you arrive!!
Costume clean* in garment bag. Shoes cleaned & mended. Loaded guard bag...NO POMS! Pillow & blanket...you will sleep on the drive to JSU.
Hair MUST BE in a well sprayed bun when you arrive!!!!!!!!
Depart for JSU...you will do makeup & dress on the bus...bring lite morning snacks...we won’t eat lunch until after our performance.
10 a.m. Warm-up
10:50 a.m. Holding @ gate
11:00 a.m. BOA Prelim Performance!!!! note: BOA will not let folks enter stadium while band is performing...please make sure you arrive early enough to get into the stands and seated before your daughter performs :0)
Following performance we will re-load the truck.
Guard will change into clean Tryout T and nice jeans. Bring black cami to wear underneath and have a black belt. Any athletic shoes are fine.
Hair will remain up the entire day to help “identify you” with our show and our group...the only jacket you will wear is our black guard jacket. You should also have guard SWEATS in bag in case the temperature drops.
Small cross-body type purses are the only ones permitted for the day...must have have cash, a charged cell phone, and fem items in that one purse.
Noon to 2:30 we will go by bus to the Quintard Mall for lunch.
3 p.m. Re-enter the stadium to watch end of prelims.
4:30 p.m. Prelim Awards Ceremony
5 p.m. Dinner provided by Band Boosters in the bus lot.
Following the awards ceremony the stadium will be cleared. If we win our class we will perform exhibition and will stay for finals & the retreat medal ceremony. If we do not win our class we will head home.
Guard girls can be checked off the bus at the end of our contest day by their parent or an adult designated in writing by their parent. No calls/texts for permission.
Finals = top bands that competed in prelims. We suggest parents purchase
prelim tickets only. If we are lucky enough to win and stay for finals parents
can decide at that point whether to buy & stay or not.
Ticket prices: $17 Prelims / $17 Finals / $26 Day Pass
Please note:
Guard members will stay with the Guard group the entire day. They will be given cell phone breaks to check in with parents, but otherwise the cells will remain OFF and in their purse!! There will be tons of souvenir items and all types of food available...just remember you will be paying stadium and/or mall prices.
If we don't make finals expect buses home by 8:30 p.m. If we do perform in finals expect buses home by 1:30 a.m. Guard girls riding the bus home will call parents 20 mins before arriving at OGHS and must have a ride waiting for them when we arrive.
*costume handwashed in cold water. fill the sink or tub with cold water, put in a few drops of mild detergent, swish to "suds" the water, submerge the costume & swish for 3-5 mins. Drain the tub, rinse costume with cold water, roll costume in towel remove excess water...hang dry. (jazz shoes smell horrid...please purchase men's extra strength odor eaters this week and put them in the shoes asap)

Fundraiser OP!!!
Our WGs are sponsoring a yard sale on Saturday, November 3rd in the lobby at OGHS. 8 a.m. to Noon. For $20 rental...the WG provides advertising, the venue, and a table. Participants provide their own merchandise & chairs and of course make whatever $$ for sales made that day. This is a great way to make some extra money to put toward the Disney Trip!!
Table space is limited and will be booked on a first paid basis. $20 cash (no checks) will reserve a spot...if you have more than one table of "stuff" you will need to rent more than one table space. Again...WG makes $20 per table space, Participants set their own prices and makes the money for all they sell that day.
Deadline for space rentals is Friday, October 19th.
Please get $20 cash to Donna or Rebecca to reserve your spot ASAP!!
