Please remember that dress code applies!!

OG Administrators were not pleased with spaghetti straps, halters, strapless, and questionable length attire worn at the Honor Society programs today...they came to us about girls (including Tigerettes) in violation of school dress code so we are coming to you.

We must all remember that Tigerettes are very visible on campus and in our community. Tigerettes must make sure they are dressed properly, and must know that they are expected to follow rules & help set the standard for good behavior!!

Band Banquet Tickets & Dell Laptop Raffle

Band Banquet tickets go on sale today in the bandroom!!

The Band Banquet will be held at OG 1st Baptist Life Center on Saturday, May 15th at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person. Please see Mr. Adams to purchase during your regularly scheduled band class. Checks should be made out to: OGHS BAND. Parents are welcomed. Due to the size of this event...no siblings, no friends. Everyone must purchase a ticket to enter. Tickets will be available until May 10 and due to meal prep & plans please note that no tickets can be sold after May 10.

All Tigerettes (old & new) are required to attend!! Normally we do not include new Tigerettes at the banquet but because we hope to introduce our new director we thought it was important for new girls and their parents to attend. The banquet will be catered this year by Olive Garden. We will do a review of the band year, Seniors will be recognized, the Outstanding Tigerette Award will be presented to the Senior who won by a vote of her peers, and the fall show will be announced.

Banquet attire for Tigerettes always falls somewhere between "Sunday dress" and "Semi Formal" which of course includes good hair, makeup, and nails. Parents = Sunday dress.


DELL LAPTOP RAFFLE...all band students will receive 25 laptop raffle tickets today as part of the band fundraiser. Tickets are $1 each. PLEASE sell as many tickets as you can. Students must return raffle money and any unsold tickets to Rebecca Hope on or before May 10th!! Lost tickets must be paid for by the student to whom they were issued on or before the raffle deadline.

Fall Pep Rally Shoe!!

Tigerettes are responsible for purchasing a solid white athletic shoe to wear on Fridays next fall with their pep rally clothing. This is a great shoe at a great price...get them at a Walmart near you for $20 or order them online at Walmart.com for $13!! It's made by DANSKIN and is called "Dana". It is not as bulky in person...take a look and see if these will work for you!!

May 1 = $150 Tigerette Uniform Payment Due
$100 per person due for optional Beach Trip Aug 5-8

May 4 = Band Spring Concert, Time TBA
Winter Guard & Indoor Drumline Performs

May 10-14 = Guard Clinic 2nd, 3rd, & 4th. Required.

May 15 = Band Banquet @ OG 1st Baptist Life Center, 7 p.m.
See Mr. Adams to buy tickets on or before May 10th!!
Cost is $10 per person. Required.
Parents welcomed, no siblings, no boyfriends.

May 18 = WG Fundraiser at Zaxby's in Hueytown
5-8 p.m. Required for WG.

July 26 - July 30 = Summer Band Camp, M-F 8-4. Required.
August 2 - August 5 = Summer Band Camp, M-W 8-4, TH 8-Noon. Required. Summer Band Fee* due from all Tigerettes on first day of camp, and please note this is the GUARD Summer Band Schedule...the Band's is normally different.

1st night rehearsals will begin Tuesday, August 10th. 6-9 p.m.
Thursday afterschools til 4 p.m. will begin on August 12th.

*$6 refunds for those who participated in the NY trip and did not use Statue of Liberty tickets were credited those toward the $100 summer band fee due for 2010-11. Tigerettes owe these amounts on July 26th based on ticket credits...

Band Boosters are organizing two fundraisers on May 1!!!

A Yard Sale will be held at Homeplate Diner in Hueytown from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on that day, and there is a Zaxby's profit event right there as well from 12-3. The Boosters need saleable yard sale items of all kinds. The Zaxby's event needs Band Members and Parents willing to "wait & bus tables". All profits from these fundraisers will go into the Band Booster General Fund. Please contact Carol Hughes 332-9376 or Wendy Feltman 540-2538 to donate or sign up to work these events.
