Congrats & Reminder!!

Congrats to all Tigerettes who participated in the Miss OG Pageant...you all looked FAB!!! We had several girls who placed or won their grade level which was amazing, but we were oh so very proud of ALL OUR GIRLS ON STAGE!!!!!

Congrats to our Winter Guard for making finals at the WGI Regional in Nashville this past weekend!! Their next contest will be at Hoover HS on Saturday, March 10th. We would love to see you all come out and see the show. Watch this site for more info!!Great job WG...we are sooooooooo proud of the work you do on the floor!!!!!!

Congrats to Ashlyn Odom...she will be marching with the JSU Southerners next fall as a Ballerina!! Ashlyn tried out over the past few weeks and was one of only 12 new girls selected for the dance line at Jacksonville State University. The Ballerina program has a long tradition of excellence and we know Ashlyn will fit in just as other Tigerettes who perform on the college level have done!!! Jamie, Danielle, & Jessica also are awaiting college scholarship/tryout results and we can't wait to post those results here as well. So proud of all four Seniors!!!

Tigs involved in the Symphonic and Concert Band programs (grades 7-12) this winter will be attending MPA contest with their respective groups this week and the next. Band Directors have all the information. Tigerette Captain/Jessica Swann will tell the Guard Girls what to wear the day they travel...next year's Captains/Allison Salter & Kayla Simpson will assist Jessica in monitor group behavior as well. Please don't forget that all school, band, and guard rules apply while on a school sponsored field trip. See Mr. Henson or Mr. Adams for MPA details!!

Please don't forget that Chicago trip balances are due to Donna on or before this Thursday, March 1st. Money orders or bank checks only due to time constraints. See the blog archive for all the details. Checks payable to: OGHS BAND.

Lastly, the 2nd $150 Tigerette payment for next fall is due to Donna on or before Thursday, March 15th. Checks should be made payable to: OGHS Band

Social Media & Cell Phones!!

Just a friendly reminder that cell phones and the use of social media sites are restricted during school hours. Be aware that every call/text/pic on cells and posts/tweets/pics on social sites are timestamped and hence could be processed as a rules violation if questionable issues come up. So please don't call, text, post, or pic during school hours...and as always follow Thumper's rule of advise on your cell or social sites...

Tigerette Payments
Girls listed above must have their first $150 payment and size sheets turned in to Donna on or before February 15th. March, April, & May payments of $150 are due on or before the 15th of those months as well. Please submit payments via check or money order so you/we have a clear paper trail.

Chicago Trip Payments
Vet's listed above along with our current Seniors need to have $100 Chicago Trip payments turned in to Donna on or before February 10th. Full & final trip balance is due to Donna on or before March 1st. Please note that the final balance MUST be paid with bank check or money order...we will not have time for personal checks to clear the bank.

Band Gas Card Raffle
All Tigerettes (old & new) were given 10 gas card raffle tickets to sell. The tickets are $1 each...cash only. Please sell as many as you can...unsold tickets may be returned...lost or stolen tickets must be paid for!! Guard members must turn in stubs/cash and any unsold tickets to Rebecca on or before Friday, February 17th. As with any fundraiser you may participate as expected OR you may choose not to participate and payout an equal amount...you MUST however do one or the other.
