Parents please see that your daughters get some rest Friday afternoon and night. Saturday will be a very long day for them and their performance will suffer if they are permitted to be out & about...then up all night Friday night.

5:45 a.m. Report to OGHS wearing undergarments and
bodystocking under comfortable modest travel wear.
Have everything with you when you arrive!! Costumes
clean and on hanger. Shoes must be clean as well.
6:00 a.m. Depart for Atlanta...you will dress on the bus...bring
lite morning snacks..won’t eat until after performance.
TBA (Eastern) Body Warm-up
TBA a.m. Equipment Warm-up
TBA a.m. Holding
12:30 p.m. BOA Prelim Performance!!!!
Following performance we will re-load the truck.
Guard will then change into clean Tryout T and nice jeans. Bring black cami if needed underneath and have a black belt. Any athletic shoes are fine to wear. Headband will remain in your hair the entire day to help “identify you” with our show and group...the only jacket you will wear is our black & rhinestone guard jacket...the only bag/purse you are permitted to carry is your new mesh...please make sure your cash/wallet and any small items needed for the day are in that one bag...you will get mesh bag this week.
1:30 p.m. Re-enter the Georgia Dome to watch bands/eat.
5:00 p.m. Prelim Awards Ceremony
Following the awards ceremony the Georgia Dome will be cleared. If we win our class we perform an exhibition and will stay for finals & the retreat medal ceremony. If we do not win our class we will head home with a fast food dinner stop enroute. Optional end of year “gifting” will be done on the bus on the way home...there are 31Tigerettes.
Finals = top bands that competed in prelims. We suggest parents purchase
prelim tickets only. If we are lucky enough to win and stay for finals parents
can decide at that point whether to buy & stay or not.
Guard members will NOT be permitted to check off the bus for this event!!
They will stay with the Guard group the entire day. They will be given cell phone breaks to check in with parents, but otherwise the cells will remain OFF and in mesh bag!! Georgia Dome Here We Come!!!
Wow, hard to believe the regular season has gone by so quickly this fall. Hard to believe that the work we began back in July during the 100 degree weather will come to an end this next week. Good things have taken place this fall, and we hope to have the greatest/strongest run of the fall season at the Georgia Dome on Oct 30th.
Seniors will be recognized before tonight's game here at home. We will travel to Chelsea for the last regular season home game next Thursday, and will participate either home or away in all playoff games scheduled. The first playoff game will be Friday, November 5th...time & location yet to be determined. Playoff games continue until the team loses.
All school, band, guard rules and procedures apply for the remainder of the season!
Report time tonight is 5:30...wearing white with headband...bring poms.
Next week looks like this...

OG vs. Tarrant
UPDATE...WEDNESDAY, 10/20/10...NEXT WEEK'S VARSITY GAME AT CHELSEA HS HAS BEEN MOVED TO THURSDAY NIGHT RATHER THAN FRIDAY!! MORE INFO NEXT WEEK, BUT SO YOU CAN PLAN AHEAD...WE WILL HAVE OUR LAST REHEARSAL BEFORE ATL ON FRIDAY DURING THAT 4TH BLOCK AND OUR BOA DEPARTURE TIME ON SATURDAY, OCT 30TH IS 6 A.M.

OG @ Fayette and the Hoover Contest!!
Congrats are in order for the great work you did on the field both Friday and Saturday nights. We appreciate your focus and were so proud that you could see your efforts pay off by hearing your name called on Saturday.
Monday--4th block--take a look at the DVD...review judge comments. Bring books you need to get caught up on classwork left over from a very busy homecoming week and any absences that haven't been taken care of. Check with teachers during that day to get anything you may be missing done while you can... grades go in for report cards this week!! You will not have to dress out.
Tuesday--4th block--Study Hall again...won't dress out.
Tuesday night--no practice to allow extra time for exam study.
Wednesday--4th block...t's & shorts, focused ready to work!!
