Final Week of Fall 2011!!
Hard to believe the regular season has gone by so quickly. Hard to believe that the work we began back in July during the 100 degree weather will come to an end this next week. Good things have taken place this fall, and we hope to have the greatest/strongest run of the fall season at the Georgia Dome next Saturday!!
Some rain is in the for mid/end of the week...make sure you have a good supply of clear ponchos for Thursday & Saturday and also on Saturday have a dollar store umbrella too...better to be safe than sorry.
Seniors will be recognized at 6:30 p.m. before Thursday's final game of the season. They will also be saluted during the last pep rally earlier that day. (Tigs will not dance at the pep rally but will dress and need poms.)
All school, band, guard rules and procedures apply for the remainder of the season!
Report time Thursday night is 4:30...wearing costume with sweatshirt...bring poms...early report time is because a local church is providing burgers & hot dogs pregame meal for our band and guard.

Monday = 4th block rehearsal
Tuesday = 4th block with Ashley and 6-8 p.m.
Wednesday = 4th block rehearsal
Thursday = Run Thru & Pep Rally!!
Friday = last 4th block before BOA ATL = REQUIRED!!

ATL is one hour ahead of our time zone...we are central zone, they are eastern!!!
Ticket Information for the Super Regional: $19 Saturday Prelims / $23 Finals / $34 Day Pass (Prelims & Finals) $39 Deluxe Day Pass (Prelims and Finals Reserved)
6 a.m. Report to OGHS wearing undergarments and bodystocking/spanx under comfortable modest travel wear. Have everything with you when you arrive!! Costumes clean and on hanger. Shoes must be cleaned and as mended as possible.
6:00 a.m. Depart for Atlanta...you will dress on the bus...boosters bringing breakfast...bring lite snacks & bottled drinks...won’t eat until after performance.

12:30 p.m. Eastern Time = BOA Prelim Performance!!!!
Following performance we will re-load the truck.
Guard will then change into Guard Sweatshirt and nice jeans. Any athletic type shoes are fine. Headband will remain in your hair the entire day to help “identify you” with our show and group. Please make sure your cash/wallet/cell and any fem items needed for the day are in any one of our old mesh bags...borrow if you need too.
1:30 p.m. Re-enter the Georgia Dome to watch bands/eat. 5:00 p.m. Prelim Awards Ceremony
Following the awards ceremony the Georgia Dome will be cleared. If we win our class we perform an exhibition and will stay for finals & the retreat medal ceremony. If we do not win our class we will head home.
Finals = top bands that competed in prelims. We suggest parents purchase prelim tickets only. If we are lucky enough to win and stay for finals parents can decide at that point whether to buy & stay or not.
Guard members will NOT be permitted to check off the bus for this event!! They will stay with the Guard group the entire day. They will be given cell phone breaks to check in with parents, but otherwise the cells will remain OFF and in mesh bag!! There will be tons of souvenir items and all types of food available...just remember you will be paying DOME prices which are DOME regulated and tend to be high.

No playoffs for the football team means our Concert Band and WG seasons will begin sometime next week. Please locate your instrument and have it ready to begin when the Band Director says the word.

BOA Gifting!!
We will be doing one goodie bag per girl this year on the ride home from ATL. Each of the 32 girls are expected to bring something to put in the bags. Doesn't have to be a certain price or certain thing, just let your wallet be the guide on what you purchase...haha...and make sure you send 32 of whatever you choose.
PS...we have 4 Seniors who deserve special treatment!!
Please make sure your items are bagged or wrapped...don't just send bags full of stuff that we have to separate...we won't have time. We will put them together on Friday before we leave early that Saturday morning so please make sure you have your "goodies" sent to school on or before that Friday.
Rebecca and I will furnish a cooler with drinks for the ride home & the bags.

Pot Luck honoring Guard/Band/Athletic Seniors is Thursday night at 6:30!! Attendance is not required but would be greatly appreciated.
Seniors will give out Tarrant Game info during 4th block class this week.
No pep rally Friday...report time for the game is 5 p.m.

BOA Jacksonville Regional Class A Champs!!
We are so proud of the work you did on the field both last Friday night and TWICE on Saturday but we are even more proud of your focus, behavior, and attitude!! It is a pleasure to have such wonderful girls to work with, it is a pleasure to see the girls work soooooooo hard & have their work rewarded, and it is a pleasure to have such supportive parents to encourage/help us along the way!!
