Eclipse = parent signed checkout note to 3rd block teacher and leave campus by 11:30! This is Principal excused and does not count toward the 4 permitted parent notes per semester mentioned below.
The following applies all fall...
No tardies, checkins, or checkouts on Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays!!
Doctor's excuse always required when you miss those days.
5th block = ts, shorts, and athletic shoes everyday!!
Tuesday = Practice 5-8 p.m.
Thursday = Afterschool practice until 4:45
Please note that the JefCoEd new Code of Conduct book states 4 parent note absences, ckins, or ckouts per class missed per semester is the max.
Friday/Aug 25th = Dress Up Day = "Sink the Spartans"
Dress as a pirate, mermaid, or sailor at school.
Football Jamboree Game @ PGHS is optional...this is not a guard event/it is parent responsibility event!! (Middle school students in grades 7-8-9 must have an adult attend with them if they go to the game...per safety we don't want our young girls dropped off & picked up)
Guard members are expected to behave in an appropriate manner at all times....even more so at school events like the Football Jamboree game this Friday night. Attendance at the Jamboree game is optional and the responsibility of the parent. Guard does not dress alike for this game but you still need to LOOK GOOD!! In or out of uniform every choice you make has a consequence. Do not jeopardize your reputation, or the reputation of our group, by participating in public displays of affection, ignore and do not respond to ugly talk or gestures. All school rules, band rules, Guard rules apply at school events/activities. Pay attention, make sure your words and your actions stay positive at all times!!
Guard members will dress alike every Friday starting this week...see SINK THE SPARTANS above!! The required dress will be announced each day of that school week. Girls will be assigned a THEME. Make sure to listen, plan, and do what is expected....no checkouts or calls home for forgotten items.
Before games and rehearsals...Members are given a specific “report time”. Guard members are not permitted to stay on campus afterschool. All must leave campus and are not permitted to return to campus until 15 minutes prior to report time...no exceptions!! Guard can’t be on campus unsupervised. If you live too far to make it back you will need to find a friend who lives closer to go home with that afternoon.

Parents are welcomed to observe Tuesday night rehearsals. Please make
sure that noise is kept to a minimum since we are in the process
of instructing & learning. Also observers should please sit in the end
sections of the stadium only. The middle section is used by directors for
instruction during the rehearsal. Students only in the bandroom or school
buildings on Tuesday nights. Thanks in advance for your cooperation!
