Getting several questions about the possibility of Tigerettes participating in spring sports...golf, track, tennis, and fishing teams. Coaches are recruiting girls because of their strong work ethic. We have NO PROBLEM with Tigs being involved and participating in other school extracurricular activities as long as all involved (student, parent, coaches) understand the following...
Tigerette, Band, and Winter Guard commitments including all in school/out of school practice and all events scheduled for the groups must be the #1 priority.
Tigs choosing or sharing time is not an option when a conflict arrises. Tigs must honor the first commitment they made and that was Band/Guard last January.
All Tigerettes will be in their 5th period band class all year long. They will not be excused from their 5th block band (or winter guard) class for anything other than travel to an off campus game, meet, or match.

Tigerettes will be involved in tryouts for a full week in January and that attendance is now required by Jefcoed so there is not an option to "choose or share" time that week.
Tigerettes will also be involved in preparation and participation in the NY trip.
