Update for Guard & their Parents!!

UPDATED 8/21/12 @ 11:15 A.M........

GUARD GIRLS AND PARENTS SHOULD HAVE TWO EMAILS THIS AFTERNOON...THE FIRST CONTAINS INFORMATION ABOUT THE RESCHEDULED BOOSTER MEETING ON MONDAY, AUG 27TH.  THE SECOND CONTAINS AN ATTACHMENT WITH THE HOME CONCESSION WORK SCHEDULE FROM BOOSTER PRESIDENT BARBARA MORELAND.  THANKS!!  :0)

The Fall Jamboree Game at St Clair County HS has been moved to Thursday, August 23rd.  Jr High, JV, and Varsity will play starting at 7 p.m.  Tigerettes and Band will not travel to this event so if you go on your own please remember school rules apply at all school events!!  Please plan to go and support our team...as always look good & be sweet...GO TIGERS!  :0)

The required Band Booster meeting on Thursday night, August 23rd @ 6:30 p.m. will be rescheduled due to the conflict with the game mentioned above.   We will post the new date here as soon as we have it.  Here is the info about that required meeting for future reference...

The JefCo Health Department presentation for concession workers and other important Band Booster information will be discussed.  Tigerettes must have a parent at this meeting and the Tigerette themselves must be present if they plan to work a JV or Jr High game.

Concession work at OG games is the major money maker for our band.  The "Home Game Concession Work Schedule" will be posted for you next week.  If a Guard parent is unable to work as assigned or prefers not to work the assigned event they may turn in a $50 payout check--per child and/or event to Donna/Rebecca at the required Booster meeting on ??--see above.  This is a new procedure for handling Guard payouts this year...in the past the pay outs were due one week prior to event schedule, but that always left concessions coordinators scrambling to find replacement workers at the last minute.

Guard parents who do not payout by the required Booster meeting are expected to work their assigned date and are responsible for finding a health dept. certified adult replacement worker for themselves if they fall ill.  Obviously sick folks can't work in concessions.  Guard parents who have a date conflict need to swap and are responsible for handling that swap on their own.  Those who do not pay out and do not get a replacement worker are considered "No Shows" and will be accessed a $50 or more payout which must be cleared with cash or money order before the next scheduled Guard event.
