Saturday night...

Members may be checked off the Guard bus at the end of the event. Parent/adult is required to go to our bus to check you off. Tigs are not permitted to check off our bus and ride a different band bus home. If you ride home on a band bus it is the same one you came on & you will be expected to help unload the truck before
you leave campus. Your ride should be waiting on you when we get back to the school. Cell phones will not be used for travel permission this season!!!

Tigerettes may only be checked off the bus by their parent or by an ADULT designated in writing by their parent. We are unable to verify notes turned in so please know that any student providing a “fake” note would be written up for providing false information. We thank you in advance for your cooperation regarding policy issues like these and ask that you remember they are not intended to cause student/parent problems, but are put in place to help ensure the safety of all participants.

Tigerettes are required to be in the company of at least two other guard members at all times at all rehearsals & games/contests...both home & away...there is safety in numbers...safety from vultures and also safety from the rumor mill!!!

No boyfriends (even band couples) or friends/visitors at rehearsals!!!

Parents are welcomed to observe Tuesday night rehearsals. Please make
sure however that noise is kept to a minimum since we are in the process
of instructing & learning. Also know that observers should sit in the end
sections of the stadium only. The middle section is used by directors for
instruction during the rehearsal. Students only in the bandroom or school
buildings on practice or event nights. Thanks in advance for your cooperation!

Please don’t forget that laps are required when you show for rehearsal
unprepared. We thank you in advance for being a responsible member...
arriving on time and having all items needed for rehearsal. We also
appreciate you “not whining” when your lack of preparation or time
management sends you around the field.

Remember it is hard work and a good attitude that create success!!

Last but not least...congratulations girls...you did a wonderful job last Friday night!! You looked great and performed that way too...great things are ahead!!! We are so very proud of you!! Please take care of your health so we have everyone in place. We are excited about the Band Jamboree and hope you are too!!!

Let’s focus & work hard this week to eliminate mental errors & performance breaks. We can only do that by being at practice every day, knowing the work, and performing full out. We know that mistakes made during performance are not intentional, but they can be the result of lazy practice habits. If you feel scared before a performance it’s because you haven't prepared yourself enough prior to the event. You should be excited to step on the field...not scared. We are human and we perform like we practice, so let’s please work hard this week and try very hard to be the best we can be at Jamboree!!
