May 10th = Final $150 Guard Payment due to Donna!!

May 12th = Band Banquet (required for Tigs 6-12)

Band Banquet...

The Band Banquet on May 12th is a required event for all Tigerettes 6-12.  $15 tickets will be on sale in the bandroom next week.  Church or party dresses are appropriate to wear.  The event will be held at Oak Grove 1st Baptist Church Family Life Center for Band Members, Tigerettes, & Parents only...no siblings/no friends.  Time TBA.  We will recognize Seniors, review accomplishments for the year, announce leadership for next year, and of course announce our show plan for Fall 2012!!

Guard Spring Clinic...

Tigerettes Grades 6-11 will participate in a Guard Clinic during their regularly scheduled band class every day during the week of May 7-11. The clinic is required and girls MUST have a doctor's excuse to miss any band class scheduled that week.

Girls will need to be prepared daily to change quickly into a t-shirt and shorts in the guard room. Athletic shoes (no dance shoes, no converse, no vans) are required for the class. Girls must bring a bottle of water with them each day, and pending weather issues may need sunglasses and sunscreen for outside.

Tigs who forget practice clothes, shoes, etc. will not participate and their failure to participate will be considered an unexcused absence.  Remember, unexcused absences = suspension from performance...one performance per unexcused absence.

Former OG Guard Captains, Ashley Vanderburg Watts/JSU Ballerina
& Dana Hampton/UA Guard/Alta Marea/Amor, will instruct girls in two areas...dance and flag.  We will supply a properly weighted flag that the girls will take home at the end of clinic for summer practice.  Everything will be taught in routine form to specific songs so the girls can easily work on things all summer long.  Dana will also work with girls grades 8-11 who are interested in trying out for a weapons spot in the fall...those interested will need to bring their own rifle & saber to clinic.
