Thursday, April 27th is the Spring Concert Event for Band Members and Tigerettes in grades 6, 7, and 8. It is a required event. Roll will be taken and a doctor excuse will be required to excuse a student's absence. See Mr. Adams or Mr. McFarland regarding proper dress and report time.
Tuesday, May 2nd is the Fine Arts Night Event for Band Members and Tigerettes in grades 9, 10, 11, and 12. It is a required event. Roll will be taken and a doctor excuse will be required to excuse a student's absence. See Tigs playing horns see Mr. Adams regarding proper dress and report time. Tigerettes/WG report in casual (not shabby) dress 15 mins before concert begins.
Friday, May 12th the third/last $250 Tigerette Money Order Payment is due from Kaley, Gracie, Abby, Bailey, Autumn, Blakeleigh, Cheyenne, Morgan, Zoey, Allyson, Mallory, Shelbie, McKenna, Alissa, Gracin, Grace, & Kyleigh. This date is firm/no extention requests.
Saturday, May 13th is the Band Banquet---required!! Band Banquet on May 13th and is a required event for all Tigerettes 6-12. Tickets will be on sale in the bandroom May 1-8. $15 per person. Church or party dresses are appropriate to wear. The event will be held at Oak Grove 1st Baptist Church Family Life Center for Band Members, Tigerettes, & Parents only...no siblings/no friends. Time TBA. We will recognize Seniors, review accomplishments of the past year, announce leadership for next year, and of course announce our show plan for Fall 2017!!
Guard Spring Clinic--required!! Tigerettes Grades 6-11 will participate in a Guard Clinic every day during the week of May 15-19th. The flag/dance clinic is required and girls MUST have a doctor's excuse to miss any clinic day scheduled that week. DUE TO EXAMS THAT WEEK...Veteran Girls going into grades 9-12 who are interested in trying out for the fall weapons line will do that part of the clinic 5th block. ALL TIGS will stay after-school for the flag & body clinic until 4:30 each day. Girls will need to be prepared wearing t-shirt and shorts. Athletic shoes (no dance shoes, no converse, no vans) are required for the clinic. Girls must bring a bottle of water with them each day, and pending weather issues may need sunglasses and sunscreen for outside. Tigs who forget practice clothes, shoes, etc. will not participate and their failure to participate will be considered an unexcused absence. Remember, unexcused absences = suspension from performance...1 performance per U-absence. We will supply a properly weighted flag that girls will take home at the end of spring clinic for summer practice. We will supply weapons for those interested in weapons tryout as well.
Beach Trip--Beach Trip 2017--optional!! Members and their Moms are invited to participate in our annual Beach Trip scheduled for Thursday - Sunday, Aug 3rd-6th. Cost is $125 per person...that amount covers housing and some meals. Girls who travel without a parent pay an extra $25 gas fee at trip time. We carpool and Guard Moms split the cost of gas used in the cars. Those interested send full payment via CASH ONLY to Donna McKinney to reserve your spot(s). No checks or money orders will be accepted!! Deadline to pay/sign up is 9 a.m. on Friday, May 26th. We have room for all girls and parent spots available will be filled on a first paid basis. If we have enough interest we will move forward with plans, and if we do not your cash WILL be returned to you. Please note...once signed up and trip is put in motion...no refunds issued regardless of reason.
Tigerette $100 Band Fee will be due to OGHS at the time of school registration...this replaces our normal payment of this fee during summer camp. It is REQUIRED.

Summer classes, summer jobs, and summer vacations are NOT excused absences!!
